This privacy policy covers the Recipe Saint blog at blog.recipesaint.com. The Recipe Saint application at www.recipesaint.com has its own privacy policy, which governs accounts, recipe management, and everything else on the platform.
What we collect
Reading the blog does not require an account, and we do not run advertising or ad trackers here.
- Comments: If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and website you provide, along with your IP address and browser user agent to help with spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture there.
- Cookies: If you comment, you can opt in to cookies that remember your name and email for next time. These are a convenience, not a requirement, and expire after one year.
- Server logs: Like nearly every website, our servers keep standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. These are routinely rotated.
Embedded content
Some posts include embedded content such as YouTube videos. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly: those sites may collect data about you, use their own cookies, and track your interaction with the embed, especially if you are logged in to an account with them.
Your data
If you have left comments, you can request an export of the personal data we hold about you, or ask that we erase it, by emailing [email protected]. This does not include data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
