  • 12 large scallops, cleaned and patted dry
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  4. In the same skillet, add the white wine and cook until it has reduced by half, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the heavy cream to the skillet and cook until it thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour the cream sauce over the scallops in the baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the grated Gruyere cheese over the top of the scallops.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
