Sangria Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle (750 ml) red wine (choose a fruity, medium-bodied wine like Tempranillo, Grenache, or Merlot)
- 1/4 cup brandy or orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup simple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
- 1 lime, sliced into rounds
- 1 apple, cored and cut into wedges
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
- Optional: 1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda
Instructions:
- In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the red wine, brandy or orange liqueur, orange juice, and simple syrup or honey. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener and incorporate the ingredients.
- Add the sliced orange, lemon, lime, apple, strawberries, and grapes to the pitcher.
- Stir the sangria to ensure the fruit is evenly distributed, then cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the fruit to infuse the wine.
- Before serving, taste the sangria and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more simple syrup or honey.
- If desired, add club soda or lemon-lime soda to the sangria for a touch of fizz. Stir gently to combine.
- Serve the sangria over ice, making sure to include some of the fruit in each glass.
Enjoy your refreshing, fruit-filled sangria! This vibrant and flavorful beverage is perfect for sipping on warm summer days or during festive gatherings with friends and family.
