Sangria Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) red wine (choose a fruity, medium-bodied wine like Tempranillo, Grenache, or Merlot)
  • 1/4 cup brandy or orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1 lime, sliced into rounds
  • 1 apple, cored and cut into wedges
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
  • Optional: 1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda

Instructions:

  1. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the red wine, brandy or orange liqueur, orange juice, and simple syrup or honey. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener and incorporate the ingredients.
  2. Add the sliced orange, lemon, lime, apple, strawberries, and grapes to the pitcher.
  3. Stir the sangria to ensure the fruit is evenly distributed, then cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the fruit to infuse the wine.
  4. Before serving, taste the sangria and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more simple syrup or honey.
  5. If desired, add club soda or lemon-lime soda to the sangria for a touch of fizz. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Serve the sangria over ice, making sure to include some of the fruit in each glass.

Enjoy your refreshing, fruit-filled sangria! This vibrant and flavorful beverage is perfect for sipping on warm summer days or during festive gatherings with friends and family.
