• 6 slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries for serving (optional)


  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly.
  3. In a large skillet or griddle over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  4. Place the bread slices on the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining bread slices, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.
  5. Serve the French Toast hot, drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with powdered sugar and fresh berries if desired.
