Storage and serving

Make only what you plan to serve. Serve the mixed drink promptly; refrigerate unused mulled wine promptly in a covered container and use within three days. Alcohol content varies, and heating does not reliably remove all alcohol. Limit perishable food to two hours out of refrigeration, or one hour above 90°F (32°C). Food-safety guidance.
